And what a shock for us all. Since the announcement of the iPhone many iPod lovers have been wanting the features of the iPhone(mainly the touch-screen and 3.5 inch display for videos). Today that product was announced.
Jobs announced what is called the iPod touch. It almost is a phone-less iPhone(it's only missing a few apps). What a disappointment to much of the iPod world. Why, you ask? Well let us review some things about the history of the iPod.
The iPod was released in October of 2001. It came in 5 and 10 gigabyte versions. Not even a year later Apple released a new designed and larger capacity iPod, 10 and 20 gigs. I could go on about each new generation of the iPod but I will just this, each time the storage capacity was increased and some sort of new feature.
Flash forward to today that that is not the case. Apple annonuced its new iPod touch with only 8 and 16 gigs of memory. Why? Tomorrow I will question this move even more but right now I need some sleep.
